Guest Messaging Centre: RSVP reminders and quick updates

Guest Messaging Centre is one Premium benefit on the /admin/messages page. It brings together two capabilities: opt-in automatic RSVP reminders and a manual quick email update for urgent news, such as a venue change.

How to enable automatic RSVP reminders

1. Set an RSVP deadline in the panel at /admin/rsvp.
2. Go to /admin/messages and find Automatic RSVP reminders.
3. Turn on Enable automatic reminders.

The reminders are opt-in only. Nothing enables them automatically. Once enabled, the system schedules exactly two messages anchored to the RSVP deadline you set:

• 14 days before the RSVP deadline,
• 3 days before the RSVP deadline.

Each message is sent only to guests who, at send time, have not yet responded, have an email address, and have not opted out of further emails. Delivery happens at a civil hour in your wedding's own timezone, inside the local 08:00 to 20:00 window, so a reminder is never sent in the middle of the night.

What happens if there is no RSVP deadline?

Without an RSVP deadline, automatic reminders are inactive. The /admin/messages page tells you to set the deadline first and links to the RSVP settings. Adding a deadline still does not enable reminders by itself - you must deliberately turn on the switch.

How to send a quick email update

A quick update is a separate, manually sent message available on the same page. Use it when guests need urgent news, such as a venue change.

1. Go to /admin/messages.
2. Under New message, choose Information update. You can also use the Send a quick update shortcut below the reminder settings.
3. Edit the subject and message, then check the audience reach preview.
4. Click Send message and confirm the send.

This message is not part of the RSVP schedule and never sends itself. It goes to reachable guests who have an email address and have not opted out of further emails.
