Configuring RSVP: turning it on, deadlines, and custom questions

How to open RSVP, set deadlines and the per-invitation guest limit, add custom questions, and where to find your guests' responses.

You turn on attendance confirmations in the RSVP tab: in the RSVP Configuration section, click Open RSVP and confirm. The form only starts working once the page is also published - opening RSVP on a draft is not enough.

Turning RSVP on and off

The RSVP Configuration section shows the current state, RSVP Open or RSVP Closed, and an Open RSVP or Close RSVP button. The change always asks for confirmation, so you cannot flip it by accident.

For guests to be able to respond, two conditions must hold at the same time:

  1. the page is published - see how to publish your page,
  2. RSVP is open and the deadline has not passed.

When either condition fails, the guest sees the message RSVP is no longer available. Please contact the couple directly.

Deadlines: how long guests can respond

  • RSVP Deadline - after this date the form stops accepting new responses.
  • RSVP edit deadline - until this date a guest can correct their own response; defaults to 14 days before the wedding.

You set both in the RSVP Configuration section. To accept a late reply, move the deadline later or enter the response yourself in the Guests tab.

How many people one invitation can register

The limit for one group form is the Maximum guests per invitation setting (1 to 10, default 1). You set it in the RSVP step of the setup wizard - the fastest way there is from the dashboard, by clicking RSVP configured on the Get your page ready checklist. When a submission exceeds the limit, the guest sees Too many guests for this invitation. Please contact the couple.

Custom questions on the form

In the Custom RSVP Questions section, click Add Question. There are three types:

  • Free Text - an open question,
  • Single Choice - a list of answer options (at least one is required),
  • Yes / No.

You enter the question text in both Polish and English - guests see the version matching the language they are viewing the page in. Each question can be marked Required, limited with Attending guests only (only guests confirming attendance see it), and reordered on the list. The limit is 20 questions per page.

Where the answers land

Everything is on the same RSVP page:

  • counters at the top: Confirmed Attending, Declined and Pending,
  • the RSVP Responses section with Responded, Pending and All tabs,
  • the Export CSV button, which downloads the responses to a file (name, attendance, meal choice, dietary notes, song request, response date).

Responses are saved onto the matching guests, so the same statuses show in the Guests tab, where you can also correct them by hand - see the guest list article.

What a guest sees and can do

  • Guests fill in the form without any login - the link to your page is enough.
  • If a guest provides an email address, we automatically send them a link to edit their own response; editing works until the RSVP edit deadline.
  • If the same email tries to respond a second time, the form refuses with You have already submitted your RSVP. Contact the couple if you need to make changes. - you then make corrections in the panel.
  • Form responses match up with guests already on your list (by email, or by first and last name when there is no email), so an earlier guest list import does not create duplicates.

A guest's response did not arrive?

Work through the checklist in A guest says they replied but I see no response - in practice it is almost always an unpublished page, closed RSVP, or a passed deadline.
