Invitations and QR codes: how to use them

The Invitations tab groups guests into invitations (e.g. one family = one invitation), tracks delivery status, and generates a QR code for each invitation that leads straight to your wedding page. When scanned, the page greets the guests by name and the RSVP form pre-fills their details. Graphic invitation designs are made elsewhere - in the Invitation cards tool.

Grouping guests into invitations

Click Add Invitation and give it a name (e.g. Kowalski Family). Each invitation also has an optional side (bride's or groom's), a category (Family, Friends, Vendors, Other), and notes. Then click Add Guest on the invitation - assigned guests share that invitation's code, which is what makes the QR work. More about the guest list itself is in the article on adding guests.

Tracking delivery

Each invitation has three independent checkboxes: Written, Sent, and Delivered. Tick them one by one in the table, or in bulk: select several rows and a bar appears above the table with Mark as written, Mark as sent, and Mark as delivered.

Narrow the list with the search box (name and notes) and the status, category, side, and guest-count filters; the View options button hides columns you do not need. We load up to 500 invitations at a time - above that you will see Showing the first 500 invitations. Refine your search to see the rest.

What the QR code does

The QR icon on an invitation row opens the QR Code dialog. The code contains your page address with the invitation's code attached, in the form https://www.stronaweselna.com/en/w/your-address?i=code. When a guest scans it:

• a greeting with the assigned guests' first names appears at the top of the page (e.g. Dear Anna & Tom),
• the RSVP form pre-fills the first name, last name, and email of the first person on the invitation who has not responded yet.

A guest without the QR can click Have an invitation code? in the form and type the code by hand - once found, they see Found! Welcome with their name.

Does every invitation need its own code?

No. The RSVP form also works without a code - guests simply type their details by hand. One shared QR code pointing at the plain page address (without the ?i= part) is enough if you do not need personalisation. Downloading and printing

The Download QR button saves the code as a PNG file (256 x 256 pixels, named after the invitation). We do not generate PDFs or print-ready cards here - you drop the downloaded image into your own design or into a template in Invitation cards. The size is enough for a typical print on an invitation; QR codes have built-in error correction, so scanners forgive minor print imperfections.

Common problems

The code opens the page but does not greet anyone

The invitation has no guests assigned. Personalisation and pre-filling only work when specific people are attached to the invitation - add them with Add Guest. An empty code simply opens the page without a greeting.

The code leads to a page that is not visible

The page must be published before you hand out invitations - otherwise the guest only sees a notice that the page is not available yet. See the article on publishing your page. If password protection is on, a scanned code first shows the password screen - print the password on the invitation next to the code.

I moved a guest to a different invitation

The QR code belongs to the invitation, not the person. A guest moved to another invitation is no longer recognised by the old, already-printed code - so settle who is on which invitation before printing.

A guest scanned the code but the response never arrived
