How to delete your account and all data (and undo it within 30 days)
Deleting your account yourself step by step, the 30-day grace period, what happens to your guests' data, and what is retained afterwards.
How to delete your account step by step
- Log in and open Account in the panel.
- Click Delete account. A dialog opens listing the wedding pages that will be deleted along with the account.
- To confirm, type your own email address exactly as it is stored on the account - the Schedule account deletion button stays disabled until it matches. No password is required.
- After confirming you are logged out, and we send an email confirming the request with the exact permanent-deletion date.
The 30-day grace period: what happens after you request deletion
Deletion is not immediate - for 30 days you can undo it. During that time:
- logging in shows an Account deletion scheduled screen instead of the panel, with the permanent-deletion date and two buttons: Keep my account and Log out,
- published wedding pages keep working normally - guests can still view them and send RSVPs; the pages only go offline once the grace period ends,
- we stop sending automated emails related to your account.
How to undo the deletion
- Log in as usual within the 30 days. If you have forgotten your password, use the password reset option on the login page.
- On the Account deletion scheduled screen, click Keep my account.
The deletion is cancelled, full panel access returns immediately, and we send a confirmation email.
What exactly is deleted after 30 days
We permanently delete the account and every wedding page you own, with all of its content:
- guests and RSVP responses,
- photos and the gallery,
- the schedule, menu, checklist, and budget,
- the seating plan, invitations, and place cards,
- the guestbook, playlist, and games,
- collaborator access settings.
Collaborators and guests lose access to the pages the moment the grace period ends. That step cannot be undone.
What happens to my guests' data?
Guest data collected through RSVP forms (names, emails, dietary preferences) is deleted together with the wedding page it belongs to. Under our Privacy Policy you are the controller of your guests' data, so if guests were using the page, it is worth letting them know it will disappear.
What is retained after deletion?
We keep only financial records: payments, orders, purchases, and invoices. Tax law and GDPR (Article 17(3)(b)) require this, typically for up to 5 years. These records are used solely for accounting purposes.
Deleting your account does not by itself trigger a refund - refund rules are covered in Refunds and the right of withdrawal.
When can deletion not be requested?
- An active wedding planner account - if you have an active planner account or unused credits, contact us first to settle it.
- A platform administrator account - these cannot be deleted this way; contact us.
Don't want to delete everything?
If you only want the page off the internet, Unpublish Page in Settings is enough - the page stops being visible to guests while your account, guest list, and all content stay untouched. More in the article on publishing your page.
You can also request data deletion by email at marketing.hexer@gmail.com - per the Privacy Policy we respond within 30 days.
